Este livro não é pretendido ser um trabalho científico. É escrito por um não-botânico e amante da natureza que aprecie andar na área de Cascais-Sintra, e sua finalidade é ajudar a outros natureza-amantes na identificação das plantas que são vistas. O livro presenta o resultado de três anos de paciente observação por caminhos na área de Cascais-Sintra, tirando fotografias de todas as plantas diferentes encontradas. Foram tiradas aproximadamente 14.000 fotografias

Depois do livro “Cascais-Sintra, Que Planta É Aquela? (Que planta é essa?) ”Foi publicado em 2006, rapidamente se tornou óbvio que eu havia terminado aquele manuscrito prematuramente porque continuei a ver plantas que não tinha visto antes.
Ao longo dos anos seguintes, o número de “novas” plantas cresceu substancialmente, mas o ritmo em que foram encontradas diminuiu gradativamente até chegar ao ponto em que eu tinha certeza de ter visto e fotografado praticamente todas as plantas encontradas na área . Muitas cópias do livro original da planta permanecem não vendidas, então escrevi esta versão atualizada e revisada como um assunto puramente privado, com a intenção de imprimir apenas um pequeno número de cópias para o benefício de um grupo muito pequeno de amigos entusiastas das plantas.

This book is not intended to be a scientific work. It is written by a non-botanist and nature-lover who enjoys walking in the Cascais-Sintra area, and its purpose is to assist other nature-lovers in theidentificationofplantsthatareseen. Thebookpresentstheresultsof3yearsspentwalking in the Cascais-Sintra area and photographing every different plant that was seen. Approximately 14,000 digital photographs were taken.

After the book “Cascais-Sintra, Que Planta É Aquela? (What plant is that?)” was published in 2006, it quickly became obvious that I had finished that manuscript prematurely because I continued to see plants that I had not seen previously.
Over the succeeding years, the number of “new” plants grew substantially, but the pace at which they were found gradually decreased until the point was reached at which I was confident that I had seen and photographed virtually every plant to be found in the area.
Many copies of the original plant book remain unsold, so I wrote this updated and revised version as a purely private affair, with the intent of printing only a very small number of copies for the benefit of a very small body of fellow plant enthusiasts.
